Sidr is a powder derived from the dried leaves of the lote tree, a plant revered across the Arab world and North Africa for its medicinal and cosmetic properties. Traditionally used as a pre-wash hair treatment, it cleanses the scalp, strengthens the hair, and is commonly used before henna application. It has been a part of Moroccan hair care tradition for generations.
Preparation
Mix Sidr powder with water to form a smooth paste. The consistency should be similar to a hair mask.
Application
Apply generously to the scalp and work through the lengths of the hair. Leave for 20 to 30 minutes then rinse thoroughly with warm water.
Pre-Henna Use
Apply Sidr as a treatment before henna application to prepare the hair and enhance results.
A natural alternative to chemical hair treatments. Can be used once or twice a week. Always follow with a moisturising oil such as Argan oil after rinsing.
